  • 8 Grams Cocoa Butter
  • 10 Grams Shea Butter
  • 27 Grams Bees wax
  • 1 Gram Pomegranate Seed oil
  • 1 gram Vitamin E oil
  • 1 Gram Sea Buckthorn seed oil
  • 50 drops Essential oil blend

Blend Ingredients

  • Coffee
  • Vanilla

Instructions

Infuse. Mix Grape seed oil and Coffee Powder together in a jar and let infuse for 2 hours or over night in a dark room give it a little shake every hour or two .Or you can put jar in a pan of water on a low heat for 2 hours to infuse the oil. Strain the powder out before adding to recipe. You can let it set for up to a week for a more strong Coffee taste if you desire.

1. Prep Your Workspace

Line up your empty tubes or tins on a flat surface. Once the mixture is melted, it cools quickly, so you’ll want to be ready to pour immediately.

2. Melt the Bases

Place the beeswax, butters, into your double boiler. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally with a glass rod or stainless steel spoon until the beeswax is completely melted and the mixture is clear.

3. Cool and Scent

Remove the mixture from the heat. Let it sit for about 30–60 seconds so it’s not boiling hot, then stir in Pomegranate, Sea buckthorn, Essential blend oils and Vitamin E.

Note: If the mixture is too hot when you add essential oils, the heat can cause the scent and therapeutic properties to evaporate.

4. The Pour

Carefully pour the liquid into your containers. Fill them right to the top, as the mixture will contract slightly (creating a small "sinkhole") as it cools.

5. Set and Cure

Let the balms sit undisturbed for at least 1 to 2 hours until they are completely firm. If you're in a hurry, you can pop them in the fridge, but room temperature cooling usually results in a smoother top.

Pro-tip

The "Spoon Test": Before pouring the whole batch, dip a cold metal spoon into the melted mixture and let it set for a minute. This allows you to test the consistency. If it's too soft, add a pinch more beeswax; if it's too hard, add a splash more oil.
